Dear Parents/Carers,

Firstly, I would like to offer a very warm welcome back from all of us at Sevenoaks Primary School, as we embark on the summer terms. This time of year is always very busy in school, but also extremely enjoyable, as we are able to take advantage of the opportunities that the better weather brings. I had the pleasure of welcoming the whole school back in assembly this week and the children were keen to share their Easter experiences; it is clear that everyone enjoyed their break!

We explored the value of ‘Team’, as it is the value that we have assigned to this term. I discussed the positive behaviours which ensure the success of our school, alongside the impact of not upholding the value of ‘Team’. The children offered some thought-provoking suggestions, including this, from one of our youngest team members: “Being part of a team makes people feel happy. When you are not working together, it is sad.” I completely agreed and we all embraced the children’s honesty.

Thank you, as always, for supporting our values and being part of our SPS team.

Best wishes,
Mrs Malone

Year 5 Bikeability

It is great to see the Year 5 children improving their cycling skills on the playground!

Please remember to check the date that your child is receiving their session and ensure that they have their bike and helmet with them on that day. Thank you!

NSPCC Dance-a-thon

All that ‘boogying’ was worth it! We have heard from the NSPCC that the total money raised by the event was a truly fantastic £4,265.33!

Thank you to everyone who kindly donated to this important charity. The money will be vital in helping to provide support for children when they most need it.

An extra ‘well done’ to the following classes who returned the most sponsor forms:

  • 3B – 14
  • 4B – 14
  • Lions – 12

SPS Working Party: Saturday, 4th May

Thank you to the parents and carers who have already offered to help with our Working Party on Saturday, 4th May; it is greatly appreciated!

In order to tackle the tasks below, we would be very grateful for more help on the day. It would be great to see the children as well – the more, the merrier!

  • Painting KS1 playground
  • Completing the KS1 allotment area
  • Installing matting on the slope up to the middle field
  • Building benches to install around the playgrounds
  • Completing matting and beds around the new Gazebo

If you are able to offer any time, even for just an hour or two, we would be grateful if you could let us know via so that we can get an idea of numbers.

Thank you in advance for your help – we look forward to a productive day!

Our SPS Value for Term 5 is ‘TEAM’!
