Dear Parents/Carers,
The sunshine is back! It was lovely to welcome everyone to school this week with the bright mornings. The weather has such an impact on our day. I have had many happy children talking about the new play equipment that we have introduced this term. Thank you to all the parents and carers who have shared their positive feedback; I am really pleased to hear how much the children are enjoying their improved playtimes.
As you know, I am keen to continue to develop the school site. We have contractors coming to install astro turf to ensure the playground areas are accessible during all weathers - this is especially important now, following the enhanced play experience for the children. I hope that everyone will enjoy the improved playground areas.
I am currently reviewing the uniform policy. Thank you for all the feedback that was sent to our Parent Council. The children are currently collating some feedback, too, and I will share the new policy with you as soon as this has been finalised.
Wishing you all a wonderful week.
Best wishes,
Mrs Malone
Head Teacher
SPS Sponsored Dance-a-thon for the NSPCC
Last Thursday’s sponsored Dance-a-thon was a dazzling display of dynamic dance moves! Both children and staff alike danced their way through the day (on the hour, every hour), embracing the event with typical SPS enthusiasm. It was the perfect activity for this term’s SPS Value – CREATIVITY! Highlights of the day included the joint children/staff ‘Macarena’ on the playground at lunchtime, as well as the several hundred-strong ‘Conga’!
A very special day, indeed. Well done to all the children and staff and thank you to all those who sponsored the event and raised money for the NSPCC. Everyone should be very proud of their achievements!
If you haven’t already done so, please send in your completed form and sponsor money (via your child’s class teacher) by Monday, 1st April at the latest. The NSPCC will be returning to SPS that day for a ‘Thank You’ assembly when the money raised will be given to members of the NSPCC.

Slips are to be returned to your Class Teacher who will collate the slips for their class. For administrative purposes, please use one reply slip per child.
The deadline for returned slips/payment is Wednesday, 3rd April.

Tennis: Sevenoaks School Tournament
On Saturday the 4th of March, Sevenoaks Primary School competed in a tennis tournament at Sevenoaks School. We had two teams comprised of Jack, William, Alfie and Ollie. They had great fun and Jack and William eventually came third. Unfortunately, Alfie and Ollie did not make it to the knockout stages as they had a very tough box. All the boys enjoyed it lots and played really well.
