KS2
Your child will be in Key Stage 2 when they are aged 7-11; this covers what is traditionally thought of as the ‘Junior Department’ and is now Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
In Key Stage 2 the children will be entering a world of interesting challenges, excitement and discovery.
The Key Stage 2 classrooms are brightly decorated, well equipped and each include an interactive whiteboard which is used throughout the school day, across all subject areas, to enhance enjoyment of the curriculum.
We have a professional team of staff, with specialist abilities and interests including: English and Maths specialists; Leading ICT, PE and MFL Teachers; and a School Counsellor.
All classes have at least one Teaching Assistant working collaboratively with Class Teachers (most have more than one) to ensure the best teaching provision possible.
Parental Support
We ask that you do support your child with homework. Discuss expectations for the work given, the quality of the work produced and provide help if necessary.
Ask the teachers, as soon as possible, if you have any queries regarding the work set.
It is particularly important that your child reads on a daily basis at home. Additionally, they are not too old to enjoy listening to you read too!
If you would like to help in school, on school day trips, or feel you have a talent that links to our studies, we would love to hear from you.
Above all, we want your child to enjoy their time in Key Stage 2 - work hard, play hard, learn and succeed!
