SPS Story Writing Competition

We have had some fantastic entries into this years SPS story writing competition, well done everyone who took part. Some of your superb stories can be found displayed around the school. The judges had difficult decisions to make to decide the phase winners and after much consideration are pleased to announce the following stories and Authors as this years winners...

Phase 1

Winner : The Moon Book - Amelie Percival-Brown

One Judge said "I absolutely loved my adventure with Sophie and the Moon and wished it would never end!"

2nd Place : The Panda Who Loved His Tree - Cordelia Saunders

The Judges said "We felt so sad when Panda's tree was knocked down and so glad that the story had such a lovely happy ending!"

Phase 2

Winner : Charlie's Robots - Tom Hewitt

 "A hugely exciting action story with great descriptive language. The cliffhanger at the end was excellent!"

2nd Place : Oliver and the Divided Wall - Zinedine Huntley

Judges comment: "Fabulous story. It is extremely creative and enjoyable. The sentence size varies, which is great, and their sentence openers are not often the same."

Phase 3

Winner : The Hidden Forest - Maisie McLay

Judges comment: "This story was very descriptive and used amazing adjectives. Also the personification of the trees and sky was amazing."

2nd Place : Superstar - Holly Rees

Judges comment: "It has great description, beautiful adjectives and varying sentence openers. There was good use of punctuation too."
