Term 3 Newsletter 1

Dear Parents
Happy New Year!    We do hope you have had a wonderful holiday and ready to embrace Term 3!
Please remember to return the ‘scrap’ books and unique progress sheets we handed out last term.   We need to set up parent consultations (10 minutes with your key person to discuss your child’s development) within the next few weeks and require the unique progress before hand.
This term we are introducing Show and Tell.
The children have the opportunity to show (a toy) and tell us about it.   This gives children an opportunity to build on their learning, confidence and understanding, plus the advantage of developing relationships with the key person and other children.
Children may bring in their favourite toy or anything they are interested in, for example, swimming certificate, book or photo.   Please encourage your children to think about what they bring in and why.
If your child’s first name starts with A,B,C,or D, their show and tell is Monday every week
If your child’s first name starts with E, F,or G, their show and tell is Tuesday every week
If your child’s first name starts with H,I,J,K or L, their show and tell is Wednesday every week
If your child’s first name starts with M or N, their show and tell is Thursday every week
If your child’s first name starts with O through to Z, their show and tell is Friday every week
If your child does not attend the setting on one of the designated show and tell day above, please could they show and tell on a Thursday or Friday.
Please note, there is no pressure on you or your child to partake in ‘show and tell’ every week or even at all.   If you have any concerns or questions, please ask Tracy.
We still have tea towels for sale.   £5 for one or £9 for two.   They will be available for sale at the end of each session.
The individual children’s plans are updated every two weeks, if there is any area of development you would like your key person to focus on, please let them know.
Remember to speak to your key person or the SENCO if you are concerned about any area of your child’s development.
